Halloween
Halloween—a time for thrills and chills! This year, we're excited to celebrate with engaging activities that enhance students' English skills and immerse them in Western culture.
We are thrilled to have parent volunteers assisting with hand painting, while teachers lead dancing, game booths, crafts, and a Halloween diary. Students will also participate in a costume catwalk show, fostering creativity and teamwork. With a variety of activities, everyone will experience the magic of this haunting holiday while bonding with classmates and teachers.
World Cultures Week
By introducing the festivals in the assembly and following up with hands-on activities, the school helps students develop a deeper appreciation for the diverse cultural celebrations in their community, for example cross-cultural understanding, respect, national identity, unity and global awareness among the students. By collaborating with different departments like Chinese, Music, or P.E. on these cultural celebrations, the school can provide opportunities for students to develop comprehensive skills such as creativity, communication and teamwork, while also promoting a diverse and inclusive campus environment.
Diwali
Diwali, the Festival of Lights, symbolizes the victory of light over darkness. As part of the Diwali celebrations, we have dance performances and a Rangoli drawing activity. Collaborated with a parent volunteer who designed a dance for our students and added meaning to every step in the dance, Principal Chan, teachers and students extremely enjoyed this activity. Also, our Art teacher and student helpers taught students how to design their own Rangoli, a symbol of good luck and prosperity.
